Driving directions:

Zweibrücken Airport is close to exit 14 on Autobahn A8, which skirts the south of the city. The eastbound autobahn leads to the L480 (Steinhauserstrasse) and subsequently to the L700 (Europa Allee). Follow the L700 directly to the terminal.

Alternatively, from central Zweibrücken, follow the L480 southbound and turn onto the L700.

Public Transport

Public transport road:

Bus: Bus 226 (tel: (0681) 416 230; www.saarpfalzbus.de – German only) provides regular daily links between Zweibrücken Airport and central Zweibrücken. The journey time is 19 minutes, and the single fare is €2.70.

Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside Arrivals. A number of taxi firms operate from Zweibrücken Airport, among which Taxidienst Gabriel (tel: (06332) 16363) and Taxi-Zentrale (tel: (06332) 13131) can be pre-booked. Fares into Zweibrücken start at around €10 to €15.

Public transport rail:

Zweibrücken’s main railway station is in the city centre, about 5km (3 miles) from the airport – regular buses connect to the station from outside the terminal. From here, direct rail services (tel: 0180 599 6633; www.bahn.de) link the city with Saarbrücken to the west and Kaiserslautern to the east, from where there is a connection to the high-speed ICE network at Mannheim. There is also an ICE station at Homburg, about 20 minutes' drive from Zweibrücken.

There is a restaurant in the terminal and several other dining options close by.

Shopping:

There are no shops at Zweibrücken Airport, including duty-free retailers. However, the nearby Style Outlets Zweibrücken shopping centre has a range of outlets specialising in fashion, household goods and other items.

Luggage:

Left-luggage lockers can be found in front of the departures area.

There are four travel agencies with desks inside the terminal building.

There are no conference or meeting facilities at Zweibrücken Airport. However, these are available at Festhalle Zweibrücken (tel: (06332) 800 330; www.festhalle-zweibruecken.de), a commercial events and exhibitions facility in the city.
