About Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP)
Henri Coandă International Airport is the larger of two airports serving the Romanian capital, Bucharest. Our guide to the airport includes important contact details and information regarding public transport, terminal facilities and nearby accommodation.
The airport has currently undergone a €150 million improvement programme, including expansion of the Departures and Arrivals halls. A second terminal is planned for future development.
Information desks are located in both Departures (tel: +4 021 204 1210) and Arrivals (tel: +4 021 204 1220).
From central Bucharest, the National Route 1 (also designated E60) leads almost directly to the airport, passing Băneasa Airport on the way, which should not be confused with OTP. The airport access road leads off Route 1. The journey time from central Bucharest is 20-50 minutes, depending on traffic.
The airport is located 16.5km (10.5 miles) northwest of central Bucharest.
