About Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport (LJU)

In April 2017, plans were announced to expand the existing passenger terminal, which will be opened to the public in time for the 2020 summer season.
The information desk is located in the departures hall. The tourist information centre in Arrivals can assist with information on Ljubljana and Slovenia as a whole.
From Ljubljana, the most convenient access to the airport is by the E61 motorway. From the city, head north on the E61 following signs to Brnik and then the airport.

Public transport road:
Bus: There are regular bus connections (tel: +386 4 2013 210; www.alpetour.si) between Ljubljana Airport, Ljubljana, Kamnik and Kranj. A private bus service to Ljubljana is also available; this goes directly to the city and takes about 30 minutes.
Taxi: The taxi rank is located opposite the terminal building. Taxi availability corresponds with the arrival of incoming flights, but it is possible to make reservations in advance (tel: (05) 906 0777; airporttaxi.si). The fare to the city centre is around €40.
Public transport rail:
Rail: Regular bus connections link the airport with Ljubljana's main railway station for services to the national and international rail network (tel: (01) 29 13 332; www.slo-zeleznice.si).
A bank and a bureau de change are located in the departures area. There are also ATMs available in the terminal, one of which performs currency exchange operations.
There are several bars and food outlets in the terminal building, some of which have outdoor seating during the summer months. Among the restaurants is a choice of self-service or à la carte dining.
There is a small selection of shops at Ljubljana Airport. Shop Ljubljanček offers a wide range of Slovenian souvenirs, products and gift items, while the Medved store in Departures provides more general items. A duty-free shop is located in the international area and sells the usual range of perfumes, tobacco, alcohol and confectionary.
Passengers arriving at Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport are advised to report lost baggage to Fraport Slovenia (tel: 04 206 12 26; email email@example.com), which is located in the lobby of the arrivals hall, next to the baggage reclaim area.
Medical services (tel: (04) 206 1641) are available for all passengers and visitors who need first aid treatment. The terminal also houses child play areas, massage chairs and a number of travel operators. The majority of the baby changing facilities are located in the ladies' toilets, but there is one facility in the terminal that can be used by both male and female parents.
Ljubljana Airport is accessible for disabled passengers, with wheelchairs available on request. Car parking spaces designated for disabled passengers are situated in the on-site car parks.
A multistorey car park with more than 1,300 parking spaces is located opposite the passenger terminal. A further 900 parking spaces are a bit further away from the terminal in car parks 1 and 2, but these are still within walking distance. Traffic lights at the car park entrances indicate the availability of parking spaces.
