Bahrain Visa and Passport Requirements

To enter Bahrain, a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.
A visa is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above wishing to enter Bahrain, except transit passengers continuing their journey by the first connecting flight - providing they hold confirmed tickets and appropriate travel documents, and remain within the transit area.
Nationals not referred to in the chart above are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements.

Of the nationals referred to in the chart above, those from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the USA can obtain a two-week visa at the airport in Bahrain without pre-arrangement.
It is recommended that you buy an eVisa online in advance (www.evisa.gov.bh).
Single-entry visit visa at port of entry: BHD5; single-entry visit eVisa: BHD7; five-year multiple-entry visa: BHD20 (available to nationals from Canada, the USA and the UK); Formula 1 visa: free to ticketholders.
Tourist or business visa from the embassy: £112.
Single-entry visa: two weeks to three months depending on nationality.
Multiple-entry visas: up to five years with a maximum stay of four weeks per visit or three years with a maximum stay of two weeks per visit depending on nationality.
eVisas: two weeks (some nationalities may be given longer) and must be used within 30 days of approval.
Consulate (or consular section at embassy) or online at www.evisa.gov.bh (single-entry visas only, but is gradually extending to other visa types from mid-September 2014). Some nationalities are not eligible to apply online and may require a sponsor for travel to Bahrain.
