Bonaire: visa and passport requirements

A passport valid for at least three months after departure date from Bonaire is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above, apart from:
1. Nationals from the USA and Canada, who can enter Bonaire without a passport if holding birth certificates and proof of citizenship.
2. Citizens of Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and The Netherlands who have ID cards.
Visas are not required by nationals referred to in the chart above for stays in Bonaire of up to 90 days.
However, if nationals of these countries (apart from Dutch citizens) wish to stay for more than 14 days, they will need to apply for an extension of stay: the maximum stay for tourists is 90 days within a six month period.
Dutch citizens living outside Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustasius - including the Netherlands, Curacao, St. Maarten and Aruba - are allowed to stay up to six months in a 12 month period.
