A passport valid for at least six months is required by the nationals referred to in the chart above to enter the Cayman Islands, except:
Canadian and British citizens (1) who can instead present proof of citezenship, such as a birth certificate together with a photo driver's license, plus a round trip or through ticket showing that they are returning to their country of residence.
Note: All persons, including US citizens, travelling by air, land and sea between the USA and Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda are required to present a valid passport or other approved document when entering or re-entering the USA.

Visas for the Cayman Islands are not required by the nationals referred to in the chart above.

Visitors are prohibited from engaging in any form of employment in the Cayman Islands unless holding a Work Permit; a short-term Work Permit can usually be obtained within one to two weeks.
