Passports:
Nationals referred to in the chart above require a passport valid for six months beyond the date of departure for stays in the Cayman Islands of up to six months, except:
1. Canadian citizens, who can instead present proof of citizenship, such as a birth certificate together with a photo driver's licence, plus a return or onward ticket.
Sufficient funds and may be required.
Note: All persons, including US citizens, travelling by air, land and sea between the USA and Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda are required to present a valid passport or other approved document when entering or re-entering the USA.

Visas:
Visas for the Cayman Islands are not required by nationals referred to in the chart above.
Note: Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the UK Border Agency or nearest British Embassy to check visa requirements.
Cruise passengers are not required to have a visa.
Visa note:
Visitors are prohibited from engaging in any form of employment in the Cayman Islands unless holding a Work Permit; a short-term Temporary Work Permit can usually be obtained within one to two weeks.
Types and cost:
British embassies charge £50 for handling visa applications for British Overseas Territories, as well as an additional £70 for forwarding documents to the relevant territory.
