A passport valid for at least three months beyond length of stay in Denmark is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above, except EU nationals (1) holding a valid national ID card.
Denmark is a signatory to the 1995 Schengen Agreement.
Visas are not required by nationals referred to in the chart above for the following durations:
(a) nationals of EU countries who may stay for an unlimited period;
(b) nationals of Australia, Canada and the USA (2) for stays of up to three months (no paid or self-employed work allowed).
Note: Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements for Denmark.
EU and British nationals (3) need to apply for a residence permit if staying longer than 90 days.
For those who require them, the fee for a Schengen visa is €60 per passport holder (children under six are free of charge). For citizens of Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia and Ukraine the visa fee is €35.
Applications for visas for Denmark should be completed in 15 days, but in some cases they may take 30-60 days.
