Passports: 

To enter Kazakhstan, a passport valid for at least six months beyond the length of stay is required by nationals referred to in the chart above.

Passport note: 

All foreign citizens must register at the local Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan or at the hotel within 72 hours upon arrival to Kazakhstan. Otherwise, they will be fined by the Immigration Service on departure.

Visas: 

Visas are required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.

Note: Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements for Kazakhstan.

Visa note: 

All visa applications must be lodged in person by the applicant.

Proxy and postal applications will not be accepted.

All nationals referred to in the chart above require an invitation for a business or tourist visa except nationals of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the USA when applying for a one-month, single-entry visa.

Types and cost: 

Tourist visa for Kazakhstan: £35 (single-entry); £50 (double-entry); £65 (triple-entry).

Business visa for Kazakhstan: £50 (single-entry); £65 (double-entry); £75 (triple-entry); £150 (multiple-entry up to one year); £250 (multiple-entry up to two years).

Applicants of Sweden and Denmark must apply to the Diplomatic Mission of the Republic of Kazakstan in Norway, or make their applications through two specially nominated visa service agents based in London.

Working days: 

Application for visa submitted in person will be processed within three working days. Application submitted by post will NOT be processed.
