St Lucia: visa and passport requirements

Passports: 

To enter St Lucia, a valid passport is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above, except nationals of Canada and the USA (1) with valid proof of identity and holding return/onward tickets (for stays of up to six months).

Note: As of 23 January 2007, all persons, including US citizens, travelling by air between the USA and Canada, Central and South America, the Caribbean and Bermuda are required to present a valid passport or other approved document when entering or re-entering the USA. There are similar requirements for those travelling by land or sea. Visas: 

Visas for St Lucia are not required by nationals referred to in the chart above, except nationals of Australia and Latvia (2) who do require a visa, unless continuing their journey to next destination by the same aircraft without leaving the airport.

Types and cost: 

Single-entry Tourist visa: £35; Business visa: £40; Student visa: £30. These prices are for those visas issued in the UK. Cost depends on nationality of the applicant and the place of application.

Validity: 

Determined at the Immigration Department in St Lucia.

Application to: 

Consulate (or consular section at embassy or high commission).

Working days: 

In general, a visa takes 3-5 working days to process in Saint Lucia or in Saint Lucia Missions Overseas. Expedited visas may be obtained within one day for an increased fee.
